I’m Kinsey Guenther, the proud owner of The KC Standard.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
How I joined the marketing industry was pretty straightforward. I got into the business by applying online to a training program at the entry-level. I was intrigued by the concept of marketing and wanted to learn more about it. So, I invested a lot of my time into learning and getting really good at my job. As I progressed in my understanding of this industry and its impacts on client businesses, I learned why the company I worked for was in high demand among other businesses.
Eventually, I had a mentality switch where I wanted to do more than just work for someone else and focus on their goals. I wanted to have my own objectives and add value to the growth of our company and clients by expanding into another market and having a piece of the pie myself.
In October 2012, I joined a marketing training program and graduated in April 2013. Following this, I worked my way up the corporate ladder and today, I own The KC Standard.
Compared to when I first joined this business, so much has changed. For starters, we have grown significantly as a company. Our clients and partnerships have also expanded from emerging small businesses to fortune 100 million and billion-dollar companies. We achieved these incredible results as our foundation, and systematic approach has stayed the same through the years.
My favorite part of my position as a marketing leader is helping people develop in this industry. It’s the most rewarding aspect of my job. I love seeing people hit goals, grow in their character and ability, become real leaders, and help our business grow in conjunction with that.
Similarly, the best part of owning a business is the freedom and choice I get out of it. No one tells me what I can and can’t do or what I am worth. Also, what I put in is exactly what I get out of my work.
Through my business, I aim to create influential leaders and continue to develop myself as a better example. To help new marketers flourish, I require them to possess four core values. These values include career orientation, problem-solving skills, drive to perform, and aggressive learning skills! Simultaneously, they need to possess a great attitude so that they can cope with the challenges of the industry.
I enjoy working with individuals who possess these qualities as they are easy to communicate with and efficient at their jobs. Moreover, they hit it off really well with clients as they are highly capable of meeting their goals.
When I’m not helping others build their careers or grow their business, I love to play a relaxing game of golf. I also like spending my free time with my husband, kids, and our three dogs, all of whom I love dearly. Additionally, I like using my downtime to think of ways to give back to the community. Sometimes, I make donations to charities, or I take up volunteering. I believe that if it is possible, we should reach out to those in need, and I aim to use my efforts to inspire others to do the same
